Box Score OGLESBY, Ill. – The Parkland women's basketball team played their first game since Thanksgiving break on Wednesday night, taking down Illinois Valley Community College 81-37. The 15th-ranked Cobras played stifling defense in Oglesby, blocking 12 shots and forcing 24 turnovers in their largest win of the season. Sophomore Sarah Isaf led all scorers with 13 points.
 
The Cobras (6-2) struggled early but were able to take control late in the second half, in large part thanks to the bench; Parkland finished with 36 bench points. The Cobras had a balanced attack on Wednesday night, with eight different players scoring seven or more points. But it was the defense that bothered the Eagles (1-11) the most. 37 points is the lowest-scoring performance by IVCC since their first game of the season, a 70-28 loss to No. 14 Morton College. Five different Cobras grabbed two or more steals in the 81-37 win. Mady Harper (7 ponts, 9 rebounds, 5 assists, 2 blocks, 3 steals) had a stat-stuffing night, leading the team in rebounds, assists, and steals.
