Naomi McDaniel led all scorers with 19 points, snagging 8 rebounds and 2 steals as well, and
Brooke Runge (9 points, 6 rebounds, 4 assists) had a nice contribution off the bench, going 2-2 from beyond the arc in the victory. Parkland begins conference play 1-0 for the third year in a row.

The Cobras (10-2) relied on some familiar faces on Wednesday. Sophomore
Mady Harper (17 points, 9 rebounds, 5 assists) led the team in rebounds and assists and Shae Bell (15 points, 4 rebounds, 2 blocks) went 6-9 from the field and protected the rim well. The Trailblazers (5-3) kept it close thanks to their defense, forcing 22 Parkland turnovers, but the Cobras were just too good at the free throw line (16-21).
Mady Harper went 10-12 from the charity stripe and Parkland closed out the 84-72 conference win comfortably.
