The Cobras (7-4) found themselves trailing in the third minute when the Loggers (1-7) scored against the run of play, but the team did not panic. Mahomet native
Lauren Schnepper scored on an
Athenais Ouairy service from a direct free kick in the 32nd minute to level the score and Mattoon native
Faith Niebrugge gave the Cobras a 2-1 lead before the break. Lincoln Land hung around early in the second half, but Niebrugge received a great cross from
Mallie Hanner in the 70th minute and the team's leading scorer headed the ball home to secure the 3-1 Parkland victory.
