Box Score QUINCY, Ill. – The Parkland women's basketball team picked up a conference road win on Saturday afternoon, defeating John Wood Community College 73-39. The Cobras shot it lights-out from the field, going 29-43 from the field for a season-high 67% shooting percentage. Shae Bell's game-high 18 points helped Parkland bounce back from their loss to DACC on Wednesday night. The Cobras are now in second place in the MWAC after the Cobras' ninth straight road win.

The Cobras (16-4) (5-2) trailed early in the game as both offenses struggled from beyond the arc. The Blazers (7-15) (1-6) held on to a small, 14-13 lead at the end of the first quarter, but the Cobras were about to heat up. Despite shooting just 50% from the free-throw line, Parkland went 8-10 from the field in the second quarter, including 3-3 from three. John Wood just couldn't keep up with the offensive efficiency as Parkland ended the half on a 10-3 run. The third quarter stayed along the lines of the second, as the Cobras shot 8-9 (89%) from the field and extended their lead to 15, outscoring the Blazers 21-4. Allie Lindemann subbed out the starters with just under five minutes remaining and her team ahead 65-34, as the Cobras coasted to their fifth conference victory.
