Box Score CHAMPAIGN, Ill. – The Parkland women's basketball team got a hard-fought win over Lewis & Clark on Monday night, beating the Trailblazers 71-54. The Cobras outscored the Trailblazers in the paint 26-8 and outrebounded them 38-34 on the way to a much-needed conference win.
Naomi McDaniel led all scorers with 22 points as the Cobras stay in third place of the MWAC with the win.

The Cobras (18-6) (7-4) trailed early, as the Trailblazers (8-10) (3-6) knocked down a couple quick three-pointers as Lewis & Clark led 15-12 at the end of a defensive first quarter. The Cobras took a 19-17 lead in the second quarter on a
Naomi McDaniel layup with 5:31 to go, as the Trailblazers continued to rely on the deep ball. Parkland took a 36-27 lead into halftime, in large part thanks to a huge first half from
Sarah Isaf (11 points, 3-4 3PM). The Trailblazers quickly cut the Cobras' lead down to 36-32 to start the third quarter, but Parkland answered with a 9-0 run. Both teams played hard defense to end the quarter, but a late
Sarah Isaf three gave Parkland the 50-38 lead going into the final quarter. A back-and-forth start to the fourth quarter saw the Cobras leading 58-44 and Parkland would go on to salt away the game at the free throw line. Sophomores
Mady Harper (7 points, 5 rebounds, 4 assists, 2 steals) and
Naomi McDaniel (22 points, 8 rebounds, 3 steals) wrapped up their final home regular season game with big performances as the Cobras pull out the 71-54 win on Monday.
