Box Score SPRINGFIELD, Ill. – The Parkland women's basketball team closed out their regular season on Saturday in a 72-66 loss at Lincoln Land Community College. The Cobras led late in the fourth quarter, but the Loggers forced too many turnovers for them to overcome.
Mady Harper (17 points, 6 rebounds, 6 assists) led the Cobras in scoring in the conference loss, as the Cobras finish third in the M-WAC in 2022.

It was a game of runs, as the Cobras (18-8) (7-5) led 14-9 midway through the first quarter after
Sarah Isaf knocked down a three, but the Loggers (26-4) (10-2) closed the quarter on a 9-0 run and began the second quarter up 20-16. Parkland still trailed halfway through the second, but a 9-3 run with 2:04 remaining in the first half gave the Cobras a 30-29 lead. Lincoln Land answered with a run of their own and the Cobras went into halftime trailing 38-32. Both teams came out hot in the second half and after an 11-0 Parkland run, the Cobras retook the lead 45-44 with 5:15 to go in the third quarter, but the Loggers closed it out on a 10-0 run and led 56-48 going into the fourth. The Cobras opened the fourth quarter with their own run, scoring nine straight points to retake the lead, 57-56 with 6:05 remaining. The game remained tight, and the Cobras held a three-point lead with 1:52 to go, but the Loggers closed out the game with another 9-0 run and Parkland lose 72-66 in a wire-to-wire game in Springfield.
Naomi McDaniel (12 points, 14 rebounds) tallied a double-double in the loss.
