The Cobras (15-4) (4-2) were flustered coming out of the gate and found themselves in a big hole after the first quarter, trailing 21-8. Parkland successfully turned things around though, opening the second quarter with a 14-2 run. The Jaguars (9-10) (3-3) answered with a 7-1 run of their own, but the Cobras were able to close to gap at halftime, trailing 33-29 at the break. After trading buckets at the beginning of the third, both offenses slowed to a halt. A late three-point-play from DACC's Dy Armfield gave the Jaguars a 46-39 lead going into the final quarter. An early 6-2 run gave DACC enough space to close the game out, as Parkland's lack of ball security led to their downfall. Armfield, who finished with 31, hit five free throws in the final minute to give the Jaguars the 68-61 upset in Champaign.
