Box Score CENTRALIA, Ill. – The Parkland College women's soccer team ended the 2023 regular season on a high note, defeating Kaskaskia College 2-1 on Saturday, October 21. The Cobras (4-11) took an early lead over the Blue Angels (6-3-4) before the hosts equalized before halftime. In the second half, sophomore
Lisa Kirwan scored the go-ahead goal in the 51st minute, and the Parkland defense held on for the 2-1 win. The Cobras recorded seven shots on goal and two corner kicks in their second straight victory.

"The team played a great match. They did a nice job of possessing the ball and communicating," Interim co-head coach
Mary Woods said after the win.

"They also kept their composure and played all 90 minutes as one team. We are very happy with the outcome," Woods added.

Up next, the Cobras will begin postseason play against conference rival Lincoln Land Community College on Tuesday, October 24, at the Parkland College Soccer Field. Kick-off against the Loggers (0-15-4) is scheduled for 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
