CHAMPAIGN, Ill.—November 8, 2025— The No. 24 Parkland College women's basketball team continued its hot start to the season with a dominant 92–49 home win over Oakton College on Saturday afternoon. The Cobras shot an impressive 55.1% from the field and 50% from beyond the arc while holding the Owls under 50 points for the game.
Stacie Vonderheide led the charge with 22 points on an ultra-efficient 11-of-13 shooting, while also grabbing 7 rebounds and dishing 2 assists. Siarah Brown followed with 13 points, 5 assists, and 3 rebounds, connecting on three shots from long range.
Kayley Wedlow provided a spark off the bench with 14 points, hitting 3-of-4 from three and adding 5 rebounds and an assist. Haley Collins rounded out the Cobras' double-digit scorers with 10 points and 7 rebounds, making 5 of her 7 field goal attempts.
Yohangeli Guzman once again showed her all-around impact with 6 points, 4 rebounds, 4 assists, and 2 steals, while Sofia Perez added 9 points, 5 assists, and 2 steals off the bench.
Parkland exploded out of the gate, outscoring Oakton 28–8 in the first quarter and never looked back, taking a commanding 56–20 lead into halftime. The Cobras dominated on the glass, out-rebounded the Owls, and assisted on 28 of their 38 made field goals in the win.
The Cobras (2-0) will return to action on November 12, when they host Wabash Valley College. Tip-off is scheduled for 5PM.
