LAKE WORTH, Fla.—December 17, 2025— The No. 12-ranked Parkland College women's basketball team suffered a heartbreaking loss on Wednesday afternoon, falling 60–62 to No. 6 Harcum College on day two of the Palm Beach State Classic. The defeat drops the Cobras to 8–3 on the season.
Parkland controlled the game for much of the afternoon, building a commanding lead behind strong defensive pressure and early offensive rhythm. The Cobras surged ahead with a 17–0 run in the first period and led by as many as 20 points before taking a 16-point advantage into the fourth quarter.
However, momentum shifted late as Parkland struggled to find its offensive flow in the final period. The Cobras committed three costly turnovers in the fourth quarter and managed just six points over the final minutes, allowing Harcum to mount a late comeback.
Despite the outcome, Parkland's performance showcased its ability to compete with the nation's elite, particularly through three quarters of disciplined defense and execution. The Cobras had difficulty generating aggressive drives to the basket late in the game, which ultimately limited scoring opportunities down the stretch.
Parkland will look to regroup quickly as the Cobras close out the Palm Beach State Classic against Lansing Community College on December 18.
