Champaign, Ill.—December 6, 2025— The No. 14-ranked Parkland College women's basketball team continued its strong start to the season on Saturday afternoon, defeating No. 21 Jackson College 76–59 at home.
Stacie Vonderheide delivered a dominant offensive performance, scoring 28 points while showcasing her full scoring arsenal. Vonderheide knocked down midrange jumpers, attacked the rim for layups, and connected from beyond the arc to give Parkland consistent momentum throughout the game.
Yohangeli Guzman added 13 points, proving fearless in attacking the basket. Seven of her points came from the free-throw line as she repeatedly forced contact and earned trips to the stripe.
Sofia Perez contributed 9 points, while Siarah Brown chipped in 8 points to round out the Cobras' scoring leaders.
Parkland maintained steady control of the game on both ends, building and protecting their lead behind disciplined defense and efficient execution.
Up next, the Cobras will face their toughest test yet as they travel to Overland Park, Kansas, to take on No. 1 Johnson County Community College on December 12. Tipoff is scheduled for 6PM CST.
