BLOOMINGTON, Ill. — August 27, 2025— Parkland College men's golf opened the 2025 season with a solid showing at the Heartland Invitational on Wednesday, finishing third overall with a two-round team score of 614 (+38). The Cobras placed five golfers inside the top 30, led by strong performances from both veterans and newcomers.
Sophomore Hudson McIntosh highlighted the day's effort with a stellar opening round, carding a 71 (-1) to take third place. He went on to finish tied for 11th overall with a two-round score of 149 (+5). Close behind was Will Seman, who tied for 15th at 150 (+6), while Ian VanEtten tied for 20th with a 152 (+8). Leif Olsen added consistency to the lineup, tying for 23rd at 153 (+9), and Cal Johnson rounded out the top 30 with a 156 (+12).
Freshmen Peter Slot and Oscar Jarl also contributed to Parkland's effort in their collegiate debuts. Slot tied for 37th with a score of 158, while Jarl placed 40th with a 159. Together, the group showed depth and promise as the Cobras kicked off their 2025 campaign against a competitive field
Up next, the Cobras will travel to Plymouth, Indiana for the NJCAA Fall Preview, running from September 2nd to September 3rd.
