SIOUX CITY, Iowa. — September 13, 2025 — Parkland College men's soccer put up a strong fight on the road Saturday but came up just short, falling 2–1 to No. 6 Western Iowa Tech.
After a scoreless opening half, the host Comets struck twice early in the second to grab control. The Cobras clawed back when minutes later, Noah Molitor scored off an assist from Gustavo Poli, cutting the deficit in half. Parkland pressed for an equalizer, recording 10 total shots with four on frame, but couldn't find the tying goal before the final whistle.
Despite the loss, the Cobras showed resilience against one of the nation's top teams and gained valuable experience heading into another major showdown. Parkland, now 3–3, will turn around quickly to face No. 2 Northeast Community College on Sunday in Norfolk, Nebraska.
