Box Score CHAMPAIGN, Ill. — September 18, 2025 — Parkland College women's soccer hosted one of the top programs in the nation on Thursday, falling 19-1 to No. 4 Heartland Community College.
The visiting Hawks built an early lead and continued their scoring throughout both halves, showcasing why they are among the NJCAA's elite. Parkland found a highlight in the second half when freshman midfielder Ava Jansen broke through the Heartland defense to score the Cobras' lone goal, preventing a shutout.
Despite the result, Parkland showed determination and continued to press forward against a formidable opponent. The Cobras will look to regroup quickly as they turn their attention to their next contest on the road against John Wood Community College in Quincy, Illinois, on Thursday, September 25th.
