No. 9 Cobras Roll Past Danville

Parkland powered by Harden and Vonderheide

CHAMPAIGN, Ill.—January 14, 2026— The No. 9-ranked Parkland College women's basketball team delivered another dominant home performance on Wednesday night, defeating Danville Area Community College, 77–44, at the Dodds Athletic Center. With the victory, the Cobras improve to 12–4 on the season.

Parkland set the tone early and maintained control throughout the game, using disciplined defense and balanced offense to steadily build its lead. The Cobras limited Danville's scoring opportunities while continuing to execute efficiently on the offensive end.

Stacie Vonderheide led all scorers with 21 points, putting together a strong all-around offensive performance. Trinity Harden followed with 16 points, providing a spark and consistent scoring presence as Parkland pulled away.

The Cobras' depth and defensive pressure played a key role in the lopsided result, as Parkland continued to showcase its ability to control games on both ends of the floor.

Up next, Parkland will travel to Mattoon, Illinois, on January 17 to face Lake Land College. Tipoff is scheduled for 1PM CST.
