CHAMPAIGN, Ill.—February 14, 2026— The No. 8 Parkland College women's basketball team earned a strong 87-60 victory over Lake Land College on Saturday afternoon at home, improving to 21-5 on the season.
After leading 18-13 at the end of the first quarter, the Cobras took control in the second period, outscoring the Lakers 29-14 to build a commanding halftime advantage. Parkland maintained its pace in the second half, adding 20 points in both the third and fourth quarters to seal the 27-point win.
Stacie Vonderheide led the Cobras with an efficient 25-point performance, shooting 10-of-13 from the field and a perfect 4-of-4 from the free-throw line. She also contributed 9 rebounds and 3 steals in a well-rounded effort.
Siarah Brown added 14 points, knocking down 2 three-pointers, while Trinity Harden chipped in 13 points, 4 assists, and 4 steals. Sofia Perez provided a spark off the bench with 13 points, including 3-of-5 from beyond the arc.
As a team, Parkland shot 44 % from the field and an impressive 93.3 % from the free-throw line (14-of-15). The Cobras also moved the ball effectively, recording 16 assists.
Up next, Parkland will host Lewis & Clark Community College on February 18. Tipoff is scheduled for 5:30 PM CST.
