DANVILLE/CHAMPAIGN, Ill.—May 2, 2026—The No. 22 Parkland College baseball team wrapped up its regular season with a strong showing against Danville Area Community College, going 3-1 across back-to-back doubleheaders on Friday and Saturday.
With the results, the Cobras finish the regular season at 35-18 overall.
Parkland opened the weekend in dominant fashion on Friday in Danville, sweeping the Jaguars in convincing run-rule victories.
In Game One, the Cobras exploded offensively in a 16-5 win (5 innings), piling on runs early and maintaining control throughout. The momentum continued in Game Two, where Parkland once again overwhelmed DACC, earning a 12-2 victory (5 innings) to complete the sweep.
The series shifted to Champaign on Saturday, where the two teams split the doubleheader.
Parkland carried its offensive rhythm into Game One, securing a 16-6 win behind another strong performance at the plate. The Cobras tallied runs in multiple innings to stay in command and clinch their third win of the weekend.
In the finale, DACC responded, handing Parkland a 1-12 loss to close out the four-game set.
Across the weekend, the Cobras showcased their offensive firepower, scoring 60 runs in four games, while also demonstrating resilience in securing a series win to close out the regular season.
Parkland now turns its attention to postseason play following a 35-win regular season campaign, carrying momentum from a series victory into the next phase of competition.
