2005 Baseball-NJCAA World Series Runners-Up

The 2005 Cobras Baseball team is one of the three teams (including 2002 and 2009) to play for the NJCAA D-2 World Series title.  The squad finished with a 52.17 record, losing 2-0 in the championship game to Grand Rapids Community College, who won their third consecutive title that year.  The Cobras advanced to the series by winning the Region 24 title with an 8-7 victory over Lincoln Land and swept St. Louis Forest Park to advance to the World Series for the fourth time in five seasons.  Two members of the 2005 Cobra team still hold NJCAA World Series records—Jimmy Viscomi (9 stolen bases) and Scott Hauber (3 triples)
