Megan Casagrande played for the Parkland College volleyball team during the 2012 and 2013 seasons. In 2013, along with the team finishing as Runners Up at the NJCAA National Championships, Megan was named First Team NJCAA All-American, Region 24 First Team All-Region, M-WAC First Team All-Conference and Second Team All-American by the American Volleyball Coaches Association of Two-Year Colleges. In addition, Megan was selected as the Region 24 and M-WAC Conference Player of the Year while ranking second in the country in hitting percentage (.444), block assists (219) and total blocks (229). Ms. Casagrande finished her Parkland career on a high note, achieving a career high 17 kills in the NJCAA National Championship game. After Parkland, Megan attended Ashford University where she continued her dominance on the court. She was selected to the A.I.I. All-Tournament Team in both 2014 and 2015, earning A.I.I. First Team All-Conference honors in 2015 while helping the Saints to a school-record 29 match wins, the 2015 A.I.I. Conference Title and an NAIA National Tournament Appearance. Megan graduated from Grand Canyon University in 2020 with a bachelor’s degree in Science of Applied Management. Currently she is a stay-at-home mom of a wonderful 1-year-old girl and married to Lucas Rice, an Army Specialist Veteran.
