The 2013 Cobras Volleyball Team became the second Parkland team to achieve a 50-win season en route to a second-place finish at the NJCAA DII National Championship. Under fourth-year head coach Cliff Hastings, the Cobras went 52-3, including a 39-match winning streak, winning the M-WAC Conference Championship and the Region 24 Championship for the fifth season in a row. At the National Championship Tournament, Parkland defeated Moraine Valley Community College in straight sets, Grand Rapids Community College in four sets and Johnson County Community College in four sets before falling to Cowley County Community College, 3-2, in the championship match. The team boasted one First Team All-American, one Second Team All-American and head coach Cliff Hastings was selected as the M-WAC and Region 24 Coach of the Year. The second-place finish marks the second time in program history that the Cobras appeared in the national championship match.
