Billy Mock

Billy played on the basketball team at Parkland during the ’68-’69 season, and after suffering an injury, returned for the ’71-’72 season.  After an outstanding career at Urbana High School, he was inducted into the Urbana Hall of Fame in 1981.  At Parkland, Mock earned All-State honors and was selected to play in the North-South All-Star game played at ISU.  He had a career high 45 points in a game, which is still one of the top scoring performances in Parkland history.  He then continued his career at Howard University in ’72-’73 where he averaged 10 points and 12 rebounds in a game, and led Howard to their best record in over 40 years.

Billy has worked for Classic Events Catering in Urbana for the past 35 years.  He and his wife, Audrey, have been married for 27 years and are the proud parents of Billy Jr. and Wynita Mock.
