Ashley holds the distinction as the most accomplished rebounder in Cobra Women’s Basketball history, tallying 739 career rebounds. During the 2005-2006 season, she was also recognized on the NJCAA Region 24 First Team as she recorded 374 rebounds (12.4/game) that year, ranking her 12th nationally in that category and establishing a new Cobra single-season record. She was awarded Conference Co-Player of the Year and All-Conference First Team that season as well. Ashley had a strong sophomore season with the Cobras repeating her NJCAA Region 24 All-Region and Conference First Team selections. She added more offense (16 points/game) to her impressive 11.7 rebounds per game average enroute to 20 points/rebound double-doubles that season. Her impressive all-around game that season earned her NJCAA Division II Women’s Basketball National Player-Of-The-Week honors three times.

Ashley followed up her illustrious Parkland College career with even more success at Union University in Jackson, Tennessee. Ashley was an important contributor on the Back-To-Back NAIA Women’s Basketball National Championship teams for the 2008-2009 and 2009-2010 seasons. Her teams were almost unbeatable during those two seasons as they achieved a 73-3 record for those two years. Ashley also earned a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology while at Union University. She went on academically to add two Masters’ degrees to her educational accomplishments, one in Education from Grand Canyon University and another in International Business from Florida International University.

Following her collegiate career, Ashley has thrived in several business ventures in the Indianapolis area. She is a licensed real estate broker and the owner of Premiere Logistics, which provides services to trucking owner-operators. She also serves as Director of Operations and Business Development for Advancing Healthcare Services and is a co-owner of Next Phase Contracts, a general contracting company. Ashley is a proud mother to her daughter, Aubree Valcourt, who has followed in her footsteps as a college volleyball athlete.
