Ken Crawford played baseball at Parkland in 1991 and 1992. At Parkland, Crawford had a career batting average of .338, with 12 HR, 77 R, and 78 RBI. Crawford made the All-Region 24 team in 1992. After Parkland, Crawford transferred to the University of Illinois, where he was named to the All-Big 10 First Team, All-Big 10 Academic Team, and Cosida Academic All-America Team. Crawford had a career batting average of .319, with 14 HR, 56 RBI, and 60 R.

From 1991-2001, Crawford played in the Eastern Illinois Baseball League. He was named Player of the Year in 1992, 1993, and 1994. He holds season batting titles in 1993, 1994, and 1995, and set the league record for batting average in a season in 1995 (.544). 

Crawford has coaching experience at both the high school and collegiate levels. He was an assistant baseball coach at Parkland from 1994-1996, an assistant coach at Champaign Centennial from 2010-2013, the head coach at St. Matthews from 2019-2020, and is currently an assistant coach at Champaign Central. He is the Project Implementation Engineer for the Illinois Department of Transportation in District 5 and resides in Champaign with his wife. Crawford enjoys coaching and watching his son play club baseball for the University of Illinois and following his daughter's career as an intensive care unit nurse at Northwestern Memorial Hospital.
