HALEY GINGER

Haley played softball for Parkland College in the 2016 and 2017 seasons. In 2017, she earned NJCAA Division II Softball Second Team All-American honors for her sophomore season as a result of her .479 batting average, 91 hits (11th in the nation), and 26 doubles (4th in the nation). She added NJCAA Region 24 All-Region First Team and All-Conference First Team to the All-American accolades that season, also as her performance helped lead the Cobras to a 42-11 record and a Conference Championship. As a freshman in 2016, Haley was honored as NJCAA Region 24 All-Region First Team, Conference Freshman-Of-The-Year, and All-Conference First Team for her contributions in leading the team to a 39-17 record. She tallied a .437 batting average that included 90 hits (18th in the nation) and 8 triples (7th in the nation) that season.

Following her playing career at Parkland, Haley went on to play softball for IUPUI, where she excelled on the field and in the classroom. She led the team in various offensive categories, including on-base percentage, and was among the leaders in multiple others in her two seasons for IUPUI, on top of being named to the Academic Advisors List for academic achievement both years. She graduated from IUPUI with a Bachelor’s degree in General Education and minors in Health Education and Sociology.

Following her playing career at IUPUI, she returned to Parkland College to earn her Associates in Applied Science degree in Dental Hygiene. She is employed as a dental hygienist for Dr. Schlosser in Springfield, IL. She currently resides in Mt. Pulaski, IL, and she remains very active in her hometown of Clinton, IL. She is currently the VP of the Dewitt County Museum Association and has served on that organization’s board since 2021. Haley is a legacy fastpitch softball player. Her grandfather, father, and uncle are all in the Illinois Amateur Softball Association Hall of Fame, and her father and uncle represented Team USA in softball at the Pan-American Games and other international tournaments.
