Sima Shah
Sima Shah attended Parkland from 2001-2003 where she excelled for the Cobra Volleyball program. During her two-year career, Shah was both an NJCAA First Team All-American and a American Volleyball Coaches Association 2nd Team All-American. She was also an NJCAA Academic All-American, the CCCI Volleyball Player of the Year, and the CCCI Female Athlete of the Year. She was a two-time All-Region 24 selection. After graduating from Parkland College she played volleyball at Indiana Wesleyan and earned her BS in Exercise Science, graduating with honors. After IWU, she attended Loyola University of Chicago where she graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. She has worked as a registered nurse for the past eight years and currently works in the Surgical ICU at Rush University Medical Center. Most recently she graduated from Rush with a Masters in Nursing and plans to advance her career as a Nurse Practitioner. Shah is engaged to be married this May to Jon Powers.
