Tom Bigler
Long time Parkland College scoreboard operator is honored after nearly 20 years at the Parkland score table for basketball and volleyball games. Mr. Bigler was a graduate of Champaign High School and Black Hawk College, where he received an A.A.S. degree. He worked as broadcast operator at WILL-TV for 16 years. Tom was active in volunteerism in the Champaign-Urbana community for over 43 years. He was a sports "timekeeper" for The High School of St. Thomas More for 10 years and prior to that at Parkland College for over 25 years. He was also active in Little League, coaching baseball and helping with tournaments, as a young man. Bigler passed away in 2012 leaving behind his wife of 22 years, F. Donna Reed.
