Michael Hamby
Michael Hamby played first base for the Cobras in 2001 and 2002. He was 2001 NJCAA Defensive Player of the Year and is the all-time Cobra career hits leader (182) and second in career batting average (.419), hitting .425 as a freshman and 413 as a sophomore. Michael received Freshman of the Year
and  All-Conference  both  years.  After  Parkland,  Michael attended  Quincy  University  in  Quincy,  Illinois  where  he finished his baseball career and earned his Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice. In 2004 Michael was hired as the Payson Seymour High School baseball coach, where he continued to
coach for the next 11 years. Michael married Jamie in 2005, they have 2 children, Madelyn 7 and Alexandra 4. He is still an active baseball player during the summer playing in the West Central Baseball Association. Michael and his family reside in Quincy, Illinois where Michael works as a Supervisor at Kramer
Land Care.
