Stephen E. Brown
During Stephen’s 33-year tenure at Parkland, he was instrumental in bringing Cobra Athletics to fans around the globe. Stephen began as Parkland’s Director of Broadcasting in 1979 where he ran WPCD FM and what eventually became WPCD-TV. He brought the basketball games to both radio
and television and did the play-by-play for several TV games. In 2008, Brown returned to covering Parkland athletics and began the audio blog/website called CobraSports.Net. From 2010 through 2012, he produced hundreds of games, interviews, commentaries and stories both as live webcasts
and recorded programming for the website. Stephen retired from Parkland in 2012 after serving as President of the PCA and as a faculty exchange participant at Christchurch College, Canterbury England. Stephen and his wife Carolyn have one daughter and two grandchildren.
