Mike Duis
Mike  was  a  member  of  the  1990  and  1991  Parkland  College basketball  teams.  He  was  a  1st  Team  All  Region,  made  the Parkland  College  and  Christie  Clinic  Shootout  Men’s  All Tournament  Team,  and  was  voted  MVP  at  the  CLC  Tip-Off Tournament in 1990. He was once again selected for the 1st Team All Region in 1991, made the Region 24 All Tournament Team  and  was  voted  the  Cobra  Co-MVP  and  team  captain.  Mike  went  on  to  earn  a  varsity  letter  from  the  University  of Illinois Men’s Basketball team and traveled with the Fighting Illini  to  Russia,  Latvia  and  Lithuania  in  1992.  Duis  earned  his B.S. in Agriculture in 1993 and was inducted into the Illinois Basketball  Coaches  Association  Hall  of  Fame  in  2002.  He returned home to farm after earning his degree where he still lives  with  his  wife  and  three  daughters.  Mike  has  been  the high  school  varsity  assistant  coach  for  Watseka  High  School
and Cissna Park-Crescent Iroquois Coop, and is currently the head coach for the Milford High School girls’ basketball team.
